BIO
After graduating from Sherwood High School and serving four years in the United States Marine Corps, Larry moved back to his hometown of Olney, Maryland. A lifelong Montgomery County resident he knew he wanted to pursue a career in the area. As a third generation Washingtonian in a family full of bankers, he decided upon real estate finance with another long time Washington firm, Carey Winston. Since Carey Winston was not just a mortgage company, but a commercial real estate firm, Larry decided to credential himself as a licensed Realtor® as well as a licensed mortgage banker. He has been helping home buyers and sellers achieve the dream of homeownership for almost 27 years! After ten years in the mortgage banking arena, Larry left CTX Mortgage to form his own mortgage brokerage firm, Legend Mortgage Corporation. Legend Mortgage prospered for over 13 years until Larry decided to pursue another dream, owning a restaurant. In 2012 he opened Old Line Fine Wine, Spirits & Bistro in Beltsville, MD. As a true entrepreneur and investor in several local companies, Larry serves his real estate clients with experience and knowledge few others can match. Larry joined the team of experts at Coakley Realty in 2014 after 19 years with IKO Real Estate in Olney, Maryland, and is looking forward to helping you achieve your real estate goals and dreams!
Larry lives in Manor Country Club in Rockville, MD with his wife Lynn. He enjoys spending time with his 5 kids, family and friends as well as golf, fishing, boating, gardening and enjoying a great bottle of wine or scotch.
